Head of Software Development
Hari Ramakrishnan
Solving problems using logic translated into computer code eventually leading to the development of software has been Hari’s innate knowledge. At the age of 15, he completed a diploma in Fortran and COBOL programming at Coimbatore Institute of Technology. During the same period, he developed several educational programs for the Department of Education for grades 10,11, and 12. He developed a software program for a bank for the first computer retailer in India called Tamilnadu Electronic Devices. He delve into research in interfacing software with hardware for robotics and Artificial Intelligence. He developed an Inventory control software program for the largest university system in Houston, Texas while attending school. He has developed several accounting software programs and pioneered an application called EasyPro which is still in use today. Developed an “Image Processing” software which would read tiff files and help convert the same into an RDBMS database. The software was used for converting old microfiche documents into a modern database for better analysis purposes. When Himesh opened his first office in India in 2000 for InnHanse, Hari put his skills to develop “Economaax”, a secure Internet chat and data transfer tool. This tool would provide a server and client environment, and used his proprietory protocol which was highly secure and usable by banks for querying accounts from their different branches; but he was just too ahead of the market. However, the Content Engine called “PIE”, which helped gather, manage and syndicate content over the WWW was a program written in VB and ASP, it helped editors located anywhere in the world to input local content. The process involved a multi tier editing process and rewarded the editors with a point system. The syndication engine delivered the most updated information into the hotel room online portals branded “Quicksliver” by InnHanse. Hari developed a fully integrated High-Speed Internet Access delivery software for hotels, with remote management capabilities. He is currently researching the next-generation IoT products widely used by the hospitality segments and the home automation.
